PCB Engineer
Austin, TX

As a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer, you will use Cadence/Mentor PCB design tools to create schematics and provide physical layout of PCBs. You will work as part of a design team collaborating with a product manager and signal integrity engineer. You will also work closely with Manufacturing to ensure a high degree of design-for-manufacturability. This position requires that you make an effort to solve encountered problems regardless of area responsibility.

Responsibilities and Tasks
• Proficient with schematic capture tool (Altium preferably)
• Understanding of good board layout practices for both high speed operation and noise immunity
• Experience guiding board layout engineers to create designs with first pass success
• Working knowledge of ARM M family of products and CMSIS-DAP (any experience with M0, M0+, M3 or M4 would work)
• Board bring-up and debug experience (Proficient with scopes, power supplies, JTAG tools)
• Basic SW understanding to independently debug hardware by running small routines
• Documentation skills to capture specifications of a board and to supply rough outline for board user guide content.
• Experience with board assembly firms
